  1. Seatbelts should be worn at all times. For details on vehicle specifications, standard features and available equipment in your area, contact your Toyota dealer. A vehicle with particular equipment may not be available at the dealership. Ask your Toyota dealer to help locate a specifically equipped vehicle.
  2. I have the toyota corolla 2020 LE. The car jerks at low speeds and sometimes downshifts (feels like a jerk forward) as I’m coasting and approaching a stop getting ready to brake. Sometimes the jerk is so intense that the car feels like it’s rocking back and forth, usually.
  3. Oct 06, 2019  Service Brakes problem of the 2017 Toyota Corolla 23. The first vehicle was stopped at a stop sign, my foot was on the brakes, because I was at a complete stop, was hit from behind by a truck. The car lunged forward towards the car in front of me,.
  4. Corolla Hatchback's available 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) features close-ratio gears down low for spirited acceleration, with taller gears up top to help optimize fuel economy. It also incorporates an intelligent rev-matching feature, helping reduce transmission shock when downshifting.
  5. It’s an updated version of the engine that’s in the current Corolla, but for 2020, the engine will have 139 horsepower, compared to the 2019 Corolla's standard 132. The 2020 Corolla also has.

Nov 15, 2019  My main dislike about my 2020 Corolla SE Sedan 6-MT is the key-less ignition system in general. I would rather have a regular key w/remote lock/unlock buttons like my 2015 Yaris SE 5-MT had. I would also rather have a regular pull-brake parking brake over the electronic parking brake nonsense. Toyota's Corolla is one of the most trusted vehicles sold in the U.S. Many choose it as their first new car, and with good reason. For more than three decades, the Corolla has earned a reputation.

2007 Toyota Corolla

CarComplaints.com Notes: Beware of the NHTSA complaint data for the 2007 Corolla. It is almost certainly misleading.

The problem with NHTSA data for the 2007 Corolla is that for months on end, the news media repeatedly told the public that several Toyota models have an unintended acceleration defect, & to go to safercar.gov (the NHTSA's website) to file a complaint.

So, the NHTSA received a disproportionate number of complaints about Toyota unintended acceleration issues because of the national news media attention, to the point where now the NHTSA data is unreliable taken in context with any other vehicle that did not receive national news attention.

CarComplaints.com typically receives more complaints per day about vehicles than the NHTSA does, but the news media did not repeatedly say 'go to CarComplaints.com to report your Toyota acceleration problems' like they did about the NHTSA -- so although we have less complaint data than the NHTSA for the 2007 Corolla, our data for the Corolla is a far more statistically accurate representation of the Corolla's reliability than what the NHTSA data shows.

The first time I experienced problems with my brakes occurred on April 28th, 2007. I was exiting a parking lot that had a downward slope and as I merged onto the main road, I stepped on my brakes but my car would not stop. I was forced to use the emergency brakes, but even then, the vehicle did not come to a complete stop for another 10 yards. On May 2nd, 2007, I took the vehicle to be checked at hollywood Toyota in los angeles, ca. The invoice notes state that the causes for the brake problems on this particular occasion were that the ¿brake pedal was spongy¿ and the ¿brakes were out of adjustment¿. for the vehicle being brand new and me being the first owner, I find it rather disturbing that these brake problems had already become an issue after only one month of ownership. On March 24th, 2009, another significant braking incident happened. As I entered the driveway of my home, I stepped on the accelerator to go up the driveway's incline and then tapped on my brakes. When I tapped on the brakes the vehicle would not stop. I pulled on the emergency brakes but it still did not stop. I was forced to steer my vehicle in the direction of my house in order for the vehicle to hopefully stop with the impact. The front driver's side of the vehicle broke through a wooden fence surrounding my front garden before the vehicle hit the corner of my house and finally came to a halt. The most serious braking failure incident occurred on June 25th, 2009 in the kaiser sunset parking structure. I put the car in reverse to pull out of my parking spot. I then shifted to drive while applying my brakes. Since the structure was at an incline the vehicle gained velocity as I drove down to the lower levels to exit. I pressed on my brakes but it did not work. I then pulled on the emergency brakes but the vehicle still would not stop. I was forced to hit the exit cross bar so that the impact would stop my vehicle from moving.

I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla with 55K miles that one of the rear wheels locked up an would not rotate. The car could not be moved as the passenger rear wheel became locked. After towing to the dealership, they removed the rear brake drums and cleaned dust and rust from inside the drums. Luckily the rear brakes did not become 'stuck' on a roadway where there was traffic.

On 11/10/09 my wife was driving a Toyota Corolla 2007, that we own.the road was wet. She was driving at approximately 30 mph.was a car and half away from the next vehicle. The car in front a Toyota SUV stopped, she applied the brake pedal. The Corolla skidded and hit the car in front. After the car stopped my wife realized the parking brake level was in the up position. The passenger air bag never deployed this is the first time we have an accident with this vehicle.
